Author Appreciation Week: Julie Kagawa

I have decided that for Author Appreciation Week, I will choose my top 5 favorite authors and post 1 a day. They will be in no particular order, there is no way I can pick which one is better then the others, I <3 them all equally.



For my first pick I have chosen Debut Author Julie Kagawa who released The Iron King in Feburary. There are many books that I absoultely love and The Iron King is one of them. It amazed me how fast I was sucked in and I couldn't stop once I got started. Julie's writing is incredible and I look forward to many more things from her. She knows how to create a new world and how to bring her readers in. Not only is she a great author but she's so friendly. She takes the time to communicate with her readers on a daily basis, either by twitter, chatzy or through her blog. Taking that extra step and branching out from being just an author of a book, to being this author of a book that we the readers get to talk with, that makes a huge difference. I appreciate Julie for showing me that there are still great authors out there coming up with new ideas. p.s.: If you don't like her book, she can just drink a mountain dew and karate chop you!

    I have The Iron King on my bookshelf, and everyone keeps telling me wonderful things about it, but I haven't gotten around to reading it. It sounds really good. I can't wait! :)

So for my part in the Tyger, Tyger blog tour for Teen Book Scene I did a character interview. Well im unconvential in my ways and since I wanted to ask multiple characters questions, I decided to ask five characters one question each, instead of asking one character five questions! My 300th post and a giveaway!

Wow! This is my 300th post on this blog. *tears up* It's definitely been a fun-filled journey reaching this point.
