Time is ticking done until the final installment to The Hunger Games series, Mockingjay, is released. In case you missed it, check out the newly released trailer for the hotly anticipated title. There's only three days left to donate books you no longer need or read to  St. Anne's Institute . St. Anne's, a not for profit organization that helps at-risk girls ages 12-18 in a variety of ways- through residential programs, therapeutic and educational programs, and outreach programs as well, could really use your help. Due to a lack of funding and tight competition for the funds they do have, the library of books available to the girls is not what it could be. So far over 50 books have been donated. I would like to be able to drop off at least 100 books to these girls, so if you have any that you no longer want, please donate them. To those of you that have already donated, I thank you and appreciate your support. Donation Contest Give at-risk girls between the ages of 12-18 the chance to read some books! There truly is nothing better than giving a gift to those in need, and who better than those who will be affected in an amazing way with the books you no longer need or read! At  St. Anne's Institute , a residential and therapeutic facility for at-risk girls ages 12 to 18 from all over New York State, they have a limited library of books available to them. We all know the amazing effect books can have on us, and these girls need a positive thing in their lives. As of approx. 3 hours ago, the first snow began to fall where I live in Upstate NY. I HATE snow. I don't know why, maybe because it's so cold and wet and makes everything such a pain, but I just don't like it. It is even starting to stick, but fortunately we are only supposed to get about an inch, so lets hope it stays that way, and that we don't get anymore for a while. I received my first contest prize the other day from Lisa over at A Life Bound By Books. I got Breathless by Lurlene McDaniel, which doesn't fit my typical book genre but it sounds amazing so I am very excited to read it. I also got Being by Kevin Brooks. I've heard only good things about Brooks so i'm sure this will be awesome as well.
