Cassia has always trusted their choices. It’s barely any price to pay for a long life, the perfect job, the ideal mate. So when her best friend appears on the Matching screen, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is the one . . . until she sees another face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black. Now Cassia is faced with impossible choices: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she’s known and a path no one else has ever dared follow—between perfection and passion.
Matched is a story for right now and storytelling with the resonance of a classic."
Now I don't usually do mini reviews. I usually read books after they are released or about a month ahead of time. I saw Matched sitting on my shelf, knowing I have many other books to read but I couldn't help myself. I just grabbed it and started reading. And then I couldn't stop. I will be posting a full review closer to the release date.

Here is what I will say in my lovely mini review(******Yes that's 6 stars, even though my scale only goes to 5. o_O):
Matched is a brilliantly twisted tale of a world were the only choice you make is the one to have all the choices made for you. Following me so far? In the future, there is The Society, and everything is almost perfect. You're matched with a love interest who is most suitable for you based on data, food is made especially for each person based on what nutrients and calories are needed, and even your vocation is picked for you based on how well you work in a specific area.
Cassia, the main character, is smart, collective, quick thinking and strong willed. She knows what she wants and in a story like this, it goes a long way. She's willing to push the envelope and I love her for that. The two main guys with which every girl will fall in love with, Xander and Ky, are both brilliant, good-looking and caring gents. My heart broke for both of them in different parts of the book.
I loved this book. While I wanted to get to the end as fast as possible to know what happens, I also never wanted it to end. The words were beautifully written and the world that Condie created is just as breathtaking as it is heartbreaking.
I hope you all get a chance to read this book soon, for it certainly is one of the best of this year. I know it's not out for a while but I'm already pining for the sequel(which Ally is writing right now!).
I want to bombard Ally with a hundred questions about the book, her characters and this world that she created, and at the same time I want to bow to her, for her brilliant words and storytelling. I'll skip both, so no one thinks I'm a wacko, but I am a huge fan.
P.S This is one of the Penguin 5 and now I know why. It's fantastic.
Ok. I'm done. I just had to gush. I'm still thinking about it. I'm sure I will be for a while.

Looking forward to this so bad, now more than ever! Reminds me of some elements of George Orwell's 1984 too.
Oooh, I really want to read this now! Especially since you ranked it 6/5 stars! =D
