I am super thrilled to be hosting author Jennifer Jabaley today as part of the blog tour for her recently released novel Crush Control (June 9th from Razorbill Penguin). Hypnosis is a form of unconsciousness that resembles sleep but actually the person is fully awake and hyper aware. Under this state, they show a heightened suggestability, therefore it's easy to get someone to do something, however crazy, when they are in this trance-like state. Naturally, this leads to endless possiblities of humor which is the basis of stage hypnosis.
