Author Appreciation Week: Julie Kagawa

I have decided that for Author Appreciation Week, I will choose my top 5 favorite authors and post 1 a day. They will be in no particular order, there is no way I can pick which one is better then the others, I  <3  them all equally. For my first pick I have chosen Debut Author Julie Kagawa who released The Iron King in Feburary. There are many books that I absoultely love and The Iron King is one of them. It amazed me how fast I was sucked in and I couldn't stop once I got started. Julie's writing is incredible and I look forward to many more things from her. She knows how to create a new world and how to bring her readers in. Not only is she a great author but she's so friendly. She takes the time to communicate with her readers on a daily basis, either by twitter, chatzy or through her blog. Taking that extra step and branching out from being just an author of a book, to being this author of a book that we the readers get to talk with, that makes a huge differenc...

Review: The Iron King by Julie Kagawa

A couple of days before the release of The Iron King, I received an ARC copy that I had won from the fabtastic MundieMoms! While the summary definitely sounded promising and the cover was beauitful, I hadn't read much about Faeries before(that's not saying I haven't tried) so I left it on my shelf for a day when I felt like reading it. You know how you have to be in the mood to read certain things sometimes... Well I waited for a while, and when my blogging buddy Lucy mentioned to me that I was crazy for not having read it yet I figured, well if she liked it that much I probably would too since we have the same taste in reading material.
