I'm so excited to have the author of Scars, Cheryl Rainfield, here with us today. She'll be taking over the blog to answer this question: What are three books that have held some type of significance for you throughout your life, and why? ~~~~~ It’s hard to pick only three books that have been significant for me. I’m not sure I could have survived the abuse I endured without books. Books helped me to hope and to dream, and to feel less alone. They helped me see that people could be good, kind, and loving, as well as the ways I experienced people around me to be. And they helped me to develop a richer inner world, which I needed to survive. I’ve chosen three books that I needed and read, over and over again, since I was a teen and first began remembering my abuse, just as Kendra, the main character in Scars, is.
