Ok so I've never done a cover remake, and this technically isn't a remake because this cover has not been released yet but I was just fooling around. What do you think?? Should I try something else??
Thanks for all the input everyone. I completely forgot this was a 2011 release, and i'm still working on other things, but I think i'll wait until next year to enter Princess Bookie's contest when my photoshop skills are better! :)
It's a little crowded. There's too much for the eye to look at. And the color is a bit hard to read. If it was like a shiny red then it would look really really cool with the black and white. (wishes I had photoshop *cries*)
Wow these contest are really adding up. I should have done one HUGE contest for all the books i'm giving away, but authors are very busy people and I didn't know when I would have which interviews back so I just separated them. So anyways, there's this book coming out in March called The Body Finder, i'm mostly sure you've heard of it but if not here's the trailer, watch it! Now that you know about this awesome book, how about an interview with the author! Yes, Kimberly has been kind enough to stop by and answer a few questions. Q: To start, can you tell us a little bit about yourself? A: Let’s see…I live in the Northwest with my husband and our three kids. I’m always surrounded by teenagers (my kids and their friends), which I think helps with my writing. Sometimes I’ll ask for their opinions on dialogue. Sometimes I just eavesdrop and call it “research.” Q: For those reading that don't already know, what is The Body Finder about? A: Sixteen-year...
Wow! This is my 300th post on this blog. *tears up* It's definitely been a fun-filled journey reaching this point. I've met many amazing bloggers and authors, and so I lift my virtual champagne glass and toast to (hopefully) 300 more! In celebration of Valentine's Day being yesterday, of this being my 300th post, and me almost hitting 800 followers (4 away!! eek!), I decided to hold a giveaway to win a pre-order of my most recent favorite read and a book I absolutely LOVE. Valentine's Day is the celebration of love after all, no one said it had to be directed to another person ;). If you follow me on twitter(@ssalach21), or read my latest review, you will know that I am talking about Divergent by Veronica Roth. If you missed my rave review, you can check it out here (It's spoiler free!). Here is the summary for those of you who aren't familiar: "One choice One choice decides your friends, defines your beliefs, and determines your loyalties . . . for...
So for my part in the Tyger, Tyger blog tour for Teen Book Scene I did a character interview. Well im unconvential in my ways and since I wanted to ask multiple characters questions, I decided to ask five characters one question each, instead of asking one character five questions! Without further adeiu, I give you my multiple character interview! ~~~~~ Aiden: Singing is a huge part of your life. What is your favorite song to sing, and what is your favorite song to listen to? My favorite song to sing is, “Aiden is the hero.” I make up the words when I hear music. I like to listen to old songs, guy songs, not princess songs. There’s always a song around me. Like in the movies, when the music tells you things about what’s about to happen. I listen to it, and that’s how I know what to sing. Tonight, I want my Dad to sing the monsters away before I go to sleep, because I keep hearing, Bad Moon Rising http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BmEGm-mraE&feature=related My dad will make it...
I like it. The image is really intense. Great job for a first try. ♥ Parajunkee
ReplyDeleteI like it.
ReplyDeleteThough it's probably a little busy for wide appeal...
I did a book by Cassandra Clare too! I did The Clockwork Angel!
ReplyDeleteLooks good. Love the background, the font in a bit hard to read.
ReplyDeleteI like it a lot but like Elie said, the font is a bit hard to read and it's maybe a bit much for this book, but I liked it!
ReplyDeleteNothing on the cover really pops or pulls focus. And the text is difficult to read. But the image is awesome.

ReplyDeleteFor a first try, very impressive. From this cover I would assume that the story was very dark
