Friday The Thirteenth Chime Blog Tour!

Welcome to the next stop on the Friday The Thirteenth Chime Blog Tour! I am lucky enough to be one of the bloggers partaking in the blog tour for Emma Michael's upcoming release, The Thirteenth Chime.

Please welcome Emma to Flipping Pages! She was kind enough to answer some questions as part of the tour.

----------------

Me: Welcome to Flipping Pages Emma, how are you doing today?
Emma: I'm doing great, thank you! It's a pleasure to be here.

(We'll start off with the sophisticated stuff:)

Me: You started off as a blogger then turned writer. Was it always your intention to become a writer, or when you started did you just plan on doing reviews?
Emma: I secretly wanted to for a long time but it was blogging that helped me realize it could be a reality. It helped me see just how much reading could mean to other people. I had found my love for reading so long ago and even met my favorite author but I had no idea that it could mean as much to so many other people. It really inspired me and now that I am doing it, I never want to stop! Suddenly my little scribblings are entire novels and my novels branching out into series. It is just such an amazing feeling, I don't know if I could have done it without having had my experiences as a blogger.

Me: How are things different now from when you first started blogging?
Emma: I'm a lot busier now *laughs*. Actually, I'm really fortunate in that my publisher has been supportive of me in working out the marketing tour in a way that matches my schedule. They feel it is wonderful that I am on blogger and encourages me to continue saying that it is really important for the publishing industry to support bloggers and blog readers as we "are the future". Of course, one of the best things about now versus when I began is that now I get to share my own book!!

Me: The Thirteenth Chime is your debut novel, will it be a part of a series, and if so, how many books are planned so far?
Emma: If potential fans want more, I definitely have more in the works! I am thinking it may be a trilogy, but I could also potentially see a fourth to wrap up the future of David and his dear friends. We'll have to see where the story takes us!

Me: Any other projects in the works?
Emma: Definitely! I also have another series in the works and another, separate and independent work that I am looking forward to bring to the world soon. I can't say too much at this time, but if fans like owls (shhh!) you are really going to love this!

(And now we will move onto the silly!:)

Me: Favorite Color?
Emma: Pink! I admit it, I'm a girl. But I also love shades like black, white and gray.

Me: Favorite Book?
Emma: Tamora Pierce's "In the Hand of the Goddess".

Me: Favorite Series?
Emma: Song of the Lioness or her Beka Cooper series, though it honestly depends on what I am in the mood to read.

Me: Favorite Musician/Band?
Emma: I just found a new band I really like called "Florence and the Machine" but there are so many that it is hard to choose!

Me: Dream Vacation?
Emma: Hauling my fiance with me to the Harry Potter theme park!!!

Me: Salty or Sweet?
Emma: Sweet. Unless it is pickles or something with chili powder.

Me: Silly or Serious?
Emma: Silly. As my fiance would say, "I'm always silly, even when I'm being serious." I can be a bit of a "Mad Hatter" at times and while I do have my serious side, everything is just so much more fun when you let it be.

Me: Thanks so much for stopping by! It's an honor to be a part of your blogtour!
Emma: Thank you for having me and to everyone reading! Your support means so much to me!!!!
